Living up to its reputation as a skyscraper city, Dubai will soon be the home to the tallest hotel building in the world.
The 355-metre tall JW Marriott Marquis Dubai will open its doors in the later part of 2012.
It will open in two phases, with the first section featuring 807 rooms and numerous restaurants and lounges.
The second tower is scheduled to open by 2014.
The 1,608-room JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is just 26 metres shorter than the Empire State Building in New York.
